I met Sara ten years ago when our career paths crossed working together at a high end salon in the Twin Cities. Sara eventually moved to California to further her career as an esthetician and when God blessed me with my first child, I left the salon as well. Over the years both of our lives were ever changing. My photography business fell into my lap and as that took off my husband and I decided to have two more babies to add to our “stress free” lives. In the mean time, Sara’s esthetician skills nailed her a job working at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills. Can we say “dream job!”? She then met the love of her life, Scott. It wasn’t long after that they wanted to start a family of their own.
I can confidently say that Sara is the most genuine, generous, and gorgeous person (inside and out) that I have ever known. She is sweet, kind, and so humble. Her beautiful eyes, dark hair, and olive skin tone really make her a photographer’s dream! I was so excited when Sara contacted me to inform me she would be coming home to Minnesota for her baby shower. We immediately got her on the schedule and started dreaming of her maternity shoot!
Sara and Scott’s maternity session took place at two different locations, the first being Willow Ridge Gardens in New Richmond, WI. Willow Ridge Gardens overlooks the Willow River in St. Croix County, WI and is decorated with various, voluptuous blooms and greenery with an everlasting view of the river valley. It is one of my favorite places to shoot at simply because it is gorgeous in more ways than one. The owners are my favorite and so amazing to work with! We had a flower crown created for Sara… because, who doesn’t love a flower crown?
Our second location was back at my studio located in downtown New Richmond. Here we created portraits that were a complete 180 of our airy garden photos. Sara brought some tasteful undergarments along with her and I created some shadowy lighting. We had all the necessary components to create the most sensual, yet romantic portraits I have created up to date.
This session was everything! I had always dreamed of capturing such a yummy shoot and Sara and Scott were the perfect parents-to-be! I am so grateful for their business and even more grateful to have created such a beautiful friendship with such an incredible person.
